Polls v. Statics | Are people polls fair and balanced?

In a reasonable persons mind, a poll is a sample that which is taken out of a larger quantity as a fair representation of the whole; a part shown as evidence of the quality of the whole. 189 P. 2d 258, 259.

Let us compare apples to apples or people to people.  One could argue that statics are far more accurate than polling.  The human mind is mechanical. Is this where #VR is going?

Staticsin physics, the subdivision of mechanics that is concerned with the forces that act on bodies at rest under equilibrium conditions. Its foundations were laid more than 2,200 years ago by the ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes and others while studying the force-amplifying properties of simple machines such as the lever and the axle. The methods and results of the science of statics have proved especially useful in designing buildings, bridges, and dams, as well as cranes and other similar mechanical devices.

To be able to calculate the dimensions of such structures and machines, architects and engineers must first determine the forces that act on their interconnected parts. Statics provides the analytical and graphical procedures needed to identify and describe these unknown forces.

Statics assumes that the bodies with which it deals are perfectly rigid. It also holds that the sum of all the forces acting on a body at rest has to be zero (i.e., the forces involved balance one another) and that there must be no tendency for the forces to turn the body about any axis.

These three conditions are independent of one another, and their expression in mathematical form comprises the equations of equilibrium. There are three equations, and so only three unknown forces can be calculated. If more than three unknown forces exist, it means that there are more components in the structure or machine than are required to support the applied loads or that there are more restraints than are needed to keep the body from moving. Such unnecessary components or restraints are termed redundant (e.g., a table with four legs has one redundant leg) and the system of forces is said to be statically indeterminate.

The number of equations available in statics is limited because of a neglect of the deformations of loaded bodies, a direct consequence of the underlying premise that any solid body under consideration is ideally rigid and immutable as to shape and size under all conditions.

The 35 Symptoms of Menopause

The 35 Symptoms of Menopause
This list of common symptoms that occur during perimenopause and menopause was developed from the real-life experiences of hundreds of women. All symptoms were experienced by numerous women and were either cyclical in nature, or responded to treatments (both traditional and alternative)known to address hormonal imbalances.

  1. Hot flashes, flushes, night sweats and/or cold flashes, clammy feeling (see note)
  2. Irregular heart beat
  3. Irritability
  4. Mood swings, sudden tears
  5. Trouble sleeping through the night (with or without night sweats)
  6. Irregular periods; shorter, lighter periods; heavier periods, flooding; phantom periods, shorter cycles, longer cycles
  7. Loss of libido (see note)
  8. Dry vagina (see note)
  9. Crashing fatigue
  10. Anxiety, feeling ill at ease
  11. Feelings of dread, apprehension, doom (see note)
  12. Difficulty concentrating, disorientation, mental confusion
  13. Disturbing memory lapses
  14. Incontinence, especially upon sneezing, laughing; urge incontinence (see note)
  15. Itchy, crawly skin (see note)
  16. Aching, sore joints, muscles and tendons (see note)
  17. Increased tension in muscles
  18. Breast tenderness
  19. Headache change: increase or decrease
  20. Gastrointestinal distress, indigestion, flatulence, gas pain, nausea
  21. Sudden bouts of bloat
  22. Depression (see note)
  23. Exacerbation of existing conditions
  24. Increase in allergies
  25. Weight gain (see note)
  26. Hair loss or thinning, head, pubic, or whole body; increase in facial hair
  27. Dizziness, light-headedness, episodes of loss of balance
  28. Changes in body odor
  29. Electric shock sensation under the skin and in the head (see note)
  30. Tingling in the extremities (see note)
  31. Gum problems, increased bleeding
  32. Burning tongue, burning roof of mouth, bad taste in mouth, change in breath odor
  33. Osteoporosis (after several years)
  34. Changes in fingernails: softer, crack or break easier
  35. Tinnitus: ringing in ears, bells, ‘whooshing,’ buzzing etc.(see note)

  • Symptom 1 (flashes) Hot flashes are due to the hypothalamic response to declining ovarian estrogen production. The declining estrogen state induces hypophysiotropic neurons in the arcuate nucleas of the hypothalamus to release gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) in a pulsatile fashion, which in turn stimulates release of luteinizing hormone (LH). Extremely high pulses of LH occur during the period of declining estrogen production. The LH has vasodilatory effects, which leads to flushing.
  • Symptom 7 (loss of libido) For some women the loss is so great that they actually find sex repulsive, in much the same way as they felt before puberty. What hormones give, loss of hormones can take away.
  • Symptom 8 (dry vagina) results in painful intercourse
  • Symptom 11 (doom thoughts) includes thoughts of death, picturing one’s own death
  • Symptom 14(incontinence) reflects a general loss of smooth muscle tone
  • Symptom 15 (itchy, crawly skin) feeling of ants crawling under the skin, not just dry itchy skin
  • Symptom 16 (aching sore joints) may include such problems as carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Symptom 22 (depression) different from other depression, the inability to cope is overwhelming. There is a feeling of loss of self. Hormone therapy ameliorates the depression dramatically.
  • Symptom 25 (weight gain) often around the waist and thighs, resulting in ‘the disappearing waistline’
  • Symptom 29 (shock sensation) “the feeling of a rubber band snapping in the layer of tissue between skin and muscle. It is a precursor to a hot flash”
  • Symptom 30 (tingling in extremities) can also be a symptom of B-12 deficiency, diabetes, alterations in the flexibility of blood vessels, or a depletion of potassium or calcium
  • Symptom 35* (tinnitus) one of those physical conditions that seems to manifest in some women at the same time as menopause. It can be associated with health conditions such as hypothyroidism and heart disease, and is a known side-effect of many medications, including aspirin (salicylates) and Prozac.

Mother(s) & Father(s) Love

Mother(s) love

Once there were two woman who never knew each other.

One you do not remember and the other you call Mother.

Two different lives shaped to make yours one.

One became your guiding star the other became your sun.

The first gave you life and the second taught you to live in it.

The first gave you a need for love and the second was there to give it.

One gave you a nationality and the other gave you a name.

One gave you the seed of talent and the other gave you an aim.

One gave you emotions and the other calmed your fears.

One saw your first sweet smile and the other dried your tears.

One gave you up it was all that she could do.

The other prayed for a child and God led her straight to you.

And now I ask the age old question…

Hereditary or Environment?? Which am I the product of?? …

Answer: Neither darling neither…Just two kinds of love..

Sean A Smith-Artist Statement

Sean A Smith-Artist Statement

I first heard this quote from Edvard Munch, Norway’s most famous painter, known for his painting “Scream”, in 2009 when I was taking Painting I. I knew from that moment, that was how I wanted to create my art. Not from his style, but from the purpose behind it. I believe as an artist it is my purpose to cross over and communicate with the viewer, to engage them with my work.

My series MASQUE, is a culmination of everything I have learned with my art education as well as a reflection of what I have lived through. In Aesthetics it was brought to light that everyone of us is different now than we were from this morning due to circumstances that have affected the way we perceive the world. These are some images of a few of my pieces from that show. I created a lot of work, many of which were good, but did not make the cut for my final show. What made it into my show were the strongest pieces that came about when I had reached a level in which I was able to release my inhibitions and unthink.

Unthink-(v.) to let it happen, to go on gut instinct, to react to what your innermost soul tells you.

2 Way Mirrors and hidden camera in dressing rooms

How to Detect Hidden Camera in Dressing Room?

In front of the trial room take your mobile and make sure that mobile can make calls……..
Then enter into the trail room, take your mobile and make a call…..
If u can’t make a call……!!!!
There is a hidden camera……
This is due to the interference of fiber optic cable during the signal transfer……

Please forward this to your friends to educate this issue to the
public……To prevent our innocent ladies from HIDDEN CAMERA……… ..

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror I.e., they can see you, but you can’t see them. There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms.

It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of Mirror we are looking at?

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.

However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! (There may be someone seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the”fingernail test.”It doesn’t cost you anything. It is simple to do.

This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass.

Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.
